Kueh Bangkit - Who Can Resist the Mouth-In-The-Mouth Little Gems?

Aunt Margaret told me once that Kueh Bangkit or Coconut Cookie, is originally used as an alter offering. They often come in a round shape to symbolize fortune and prosperity. Anyway people started to change the original round shape into flower, birds, butterfly etc shapes to mean fertility

I just love Kueh bangkit especially when these little fragrant gems just melt in your mouth when popped into the mouth...yummy yum well it goes well with my favourite green tea..

These are the kueh bangkit I have purchased:

Creative Home Baking's Kueh Bangkit
